CRS Visa

Express Entry Program

Express Entry is a selection system for qualified individuals to obtain a Canadian Permanent Residence status through an expedited process. It follows a systematic, smooth, seamless, and fast process. The Canadian Government implements this system to accelerate the issuance of Permanent Resident visas through various economic immigration programs.

Through the Express Entry system, eligible immigrants are issued with Canada PR through a quick procedure. It is a paperless process with online submissions that enables faster processing times, which average approximately six months. Different immigration programs are available under Express Entry. Those who meet the eligibility requirements can fill up an Express Entry profile by filling out the required information. Our Canada Immigration Lawyers will undertake the process on your behalf if you meet the set standards. Language proficiency, qualifications, skills, and work experience are the primary requirements to get accepted into the Express Entry program. The requirements also include a minimum of one year of full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past ten years in a high-skilled occupation under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3.

Candidates must meet the criteria of at least one of the following federal economic immigration programs to be eligible for Express Entry:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  • Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)- Programs that follow the Express Entry process

After creating an Express Entry profile, the applicants in the Express Entry Pool are placed based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS is a points-based system used to assess and score each applicant’s profile and rank it in the Express Entry pool. Skills, education, language ability, work experience, and other factors are used to assess the applicant’s profile. The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), for Permanent Residence (PR) applications, invite candidates with the highest CRS score. Click here to view the details of the rounds of invitations. Since Canada faces employee shortages in a few occupations, the IRCC is issuing occupation-based invitations to fill the needs. On receiving the invitation from IRCC for Canada PR, the individual must submit an electronic application for PR within 60 days of receipt of the Invitation to Apply (ITA). All the requisite documents must be submitted at the time of application, and there should not be any discrepancies in the information. The documents need to be collected and uploaded appropriately without leaving any ambiguity. You will need a Canadian Immigration Lawyer to file your immigration application, which requires careful planning, meticulous documentation, and proper filing.
